Here’s what’s next.

Determine Your Needs

We want to make sure our arrangement meets your precise needs. We will gather accounting, tax, legal, investment, and other information needed to assess your financial position, operations, and goals and determine the level of services needed. You will receive a services proposal complete with a defined scope of work, timing, and fee schedules. We will review the proposal with you to ensure it delivers on your financial vision.

Assuming our proposed terms are satisfactory for your needs, we will then provide formal electronic engagement documents signature. This will include engagement services details, expectations of both parties, fee schedule, and payment terms.

care coordinator

We provide you with a dedicated care coordinator (CC). Your CC is a financial client concierge and primary point of contact for all our financial services. They will make sure that Med Pro CPA and affiliate Smith Wynd companies are delivering the highest level of customer service by responding to your questions, facilitating information requests, and coordinating all your services across our companies.

PREVIOUS SERVICE PROVIDERS

We want to make the handover process from your previous accountant or other financial services providers as easy as possible. With your permission, we will contact them to request historical financial statements, prior year tax returns, investment schedules, and other information necessary. In some cases, we may need to obtain some of this information from you directly. Your CC will help arrange all of these requests.

Onboarding

To onboard you with Med Pro CPA, we will require some additional information like online bank statement access, read only billing and/or patient management systems access (as applicable) and some other documents signed off by you. Your CC will make these requests and will also arrange collection of any permanent file documents from your previous accountant.

Your CC will review the state-of-the-art MedPro CPA reporting platform with you, deliver training documentation, show you or your practice manager how to access your management dashboard, and provide a monthly closing and communication calendar. Our innovative reporting platform gives you 24/7 access to your current and historical financial reports, plus the ability to slice, dice, and compare financial performance in dynamic ways. You’ll then be up and running with your first monthly closing!

TAx Planning Review

Next up, a tax planning review. Our review includes provision of a tax estimate for the year ahead, based on the draft information available at that point in time. This service is provided every year. Your CC will also establish your annual tax calendar that covers information due dates, review process, and filing deadlines by return / schedule.
